Track Name: Separate
You didn't mean to be so early
I didn't mean to be so late
We see things the same but it's not what we see
It's how we communicate

We think as one but separate
We think as two but the same
We think about ourselves too much
And it's driving us insane

You didn't mean to be so damn good
I didn't mean to be so bad
After all the dust has settled
I still miss the good times we had

You didn't mean to be so honest
I didn't mean to be so mean
But now we're both seeing things
We never thought we'd see

I guess we both saw it coming
It still was a surprise
Moving on is the best thing to do
It's time to lead separate lives
Track Name: Mountain Girl
You seem so free, said he to she, and waited for her reply
She thought for a while, then she just smiled, she quickly blinked her eye
Always on the move, searching for her groove
That she may never find
Always on the move, searching for a groove
And slowly losing her mind

I've seen the world, said this mountain girl, I've seen it on my own
I've seen many faces, been many places, but nowhere do I feel at home
Always on the move, searching for her groove
That she may never find
Always on the move, searching for a groove
And slowly losing her mind
I'd like to lose me mind with her
i'd like to lose me mind with that sweet mountain girl
Track Name: Garbled Song
lyrics by Howard C. McClary

Her is mine and me is her'n
Like bow of ship attached to stern
Held as ivy to cobbled wall
Her is me love, my one and all

Mine her is and her'n is me
Like skier shackled onto ski
As iron to the magnet drawn
My heart in tiny bits is "sawn"

Am I her'n and is she mine
Or am I the victim of a line?
Does her love I or is me wrong
And singing only a garbled song?

Me one and all, her is my love
No matter how hard me have "struv"
To flee enchantment, break the spell
Me mind is whirling 'round pall-mall

Me cannot tell, but still can wish
That like the inlay on a dish
Me is her'n and her is mine
And everything will be just fine
Track Name: Tug o' War
I am unwillingly stuck between the sirens and the rovers
All I can do is tie myself to the mast and listen to the pain until it's over
One of you is to my left - the other to my right
Now I feel I'm stuck in the middle of a losing fight
Where no one will ever wins, everyone involved will lose
When you don't give me reasonable options how can you make me choose

I want to break free
I want to be alone
You ask me whose side I'm on
No one's - I'm on my own

I am a knotted rope being stretched both ways
It's gonna happen, there's bound be a change, it's coming one of these days
The rope may not break, the rope may not fall
But somehow the rope is always in the middle of it all

I want to break free
I want to be alone
You ask me whose side I'm on
No one's - I'm on my own
Track Name: Stargazing
Sitting here looking up at the stars
I wonder why we are so far apart
But that's just who we are
Every one of us

Spending time looking for some finish line
Not looking at anything in the eye
Catching glimpses of everything we're running by
But it's not a race

Stargazing makes me wonder why
We never make contact any time we fly
But we'll always keep trying
To make that touch

Sitting here looking up at the stars
I realize why we are so very far
I need something in my heart
To dream about
